Registering for Online Access
This will allow you to:
- Order prescriptions online
- Update your contact details
- Book appointments
- View sections of your medical records. e.g. Results, medications, diagnoses.
Once you have registered for access your request is sent to the practice who will then verify your details before granting approval.
Viewing your medical record online
Being able to see your medical record online might help you to manage your medical conditions. You will have access to summary information regarding your medication, immunisations, results and allergies.
There are some benefits of having access to your medical records online, but also some risks for you to consider. Before we can grant you access to this service, we ask you to download and read the Patient Online Records Access Information Leaflet.
Please note that if you are applying for access to your medical records a GP will need to review your application before granting access and this can take up to 10 working days.
Applying for Online Access to view your medical record
At present we are allowing access for patients age 16 and over.
If you would like to view your medical records online too then you need need to complete the additional access request on the form.
You need to bring the form to the surgery with 2 forms of ID: one with a photo and one with your address (usually a utility bill, bank statement within the last 3 months). We require ID because you are able to view confidential information and this is to ensure you are the patient requesting access.
Access to your Medical Records if requested will be reviewed by a GP (to ensure that access to your record would not be in anyway harmful to you). This could take up to 10 working days.
